Competition Statutes:
Khachaturian International Competition is an international annual celebration of classical music. His works are deeply rooted in people's hearts and are loved by people of different skins and countries, and his music can be considered as a precious heritage for all mankind. The first Khachaturian International Competition in Armenia was held on 6 June 2003 to commemorate the great composer's outstanding creativity and contribution to the world's musical culture. The year 2023 marks the 120th anniversary of the birth of Aram Ilyich Khachaturian, one of the great pillars of 20th century classical music.
1.First time the competition will be held in China as the 120 jubilee edition. Khachaturian 120th Anniversary International Violin Competition consists of a Pre-Selection Stage Competition (non-Chinese applicants submit video material for the Pre-Selection Stage Selection, and Chinese applicants sign up for the Chinese Audition) and three rounds of the Global Official Competition in Beijing: the First Round, the Second Round (Semi-Final), and the Third Round (Final).

After the pre-selection phase of the competition, 36 applicants from the World for the competition will be selected to enter The 19th Khachaturian 120th Anniversary International Violin Competition competition in Beijing, and no less than 14 and no more than 16 participants will be selected in the second round (semi-final). The third round (final) will select 6 participants.
3. The Jury fully reserves the right to award prizes or to distribute them among the candidates. The decision of the Jury is final and is not subject to appeal by the contestants.3. 4.After the results of the second round (semi-finals) are announced, contestants who have not been transferred to the third round may apply to the competition to obtain a written opinion on their performances from a member of the Jury.
5. All pieces must be played from memory (except for Chinese pieces and the sonatas with piano).
6. The repertoire chosen by the contestants cannot be changed after submission. All contestants can decide the order of the repertoire to be performed in the first and second rounds of the competition, and the order of performance in the third round must be in accordance with the established order of the competition.
7. The third (final) round of performances will be accompanied by the National Symphony Orchestra of Armenia, the official orchestra of the competition.
8. The contestants will be provided with a practice room 50 minutes before the performance of each round and will be required to comply with the dress code of the contest.
9. The order of the performances of the contestants will be determined by drawing lots on the spot and will be maintained until the end of the competition.
10. The entire competition site is open to the public. The Organizing Committee will provide piano coaching in the first and second rounds of the global competition, or contestants may bring their own piano coaching. (Piano instruction will not be provided for the China qualifying rounds, so please bring your own piano instruction.)
11. The official global competition will be broadcast live on the Internet, and the broadcast will continue until the end of the last contestant's performance on each competition day. Only the performances of the winning contestants will be available for viewing on the official website after the competition. The broadcasting rights, all audio and video recordings and their further use throughout the Competition and its rounds belong to the Competition Organizing Committee and will only be made available to the contestants upon request. Participants are not permitted to use or make available to third parties the video recordings of their performances unless they have obtained written permission from the Competition. The entire broadcasting platform of the Competition must be authorized by the Organizing Committee.
12.The Competition Organizing Committee may adjust some of the terms and conditions up to one month before the start of the Competition.
Application:1.The 19th Khachaturian 120th Anniversary International Violin Competition does not impose any nationality restrictions on the participants. The age limit for participation is not less than 16 years old and not more than 35 years old on the date of the opening ceremony of the competition (17 December 2023). Participation is restricted to violinists who have won the first prize of the Competition.
2.By registering an entry, the participant agrees to take part in the rounds of the Competition based on the votes of the Jury. When accepting entries, the Competition collects personal information from participants to fulfill certain procedural needs of the Competition. Personal information is kept in a reliable database. Only the following details about the participant will be published: name, date of birth, place of birth, nationality, CV, photo, personal website and social media profiles.
3.By submitting an application for the competition, the participant confirms that he/she accepts all the conditions of the competition.

5.During the whole period of the competition, participants can seek help from the organizing committee in order to rent a comfortable and convenient hotel at a good price.
Application and Participation Fees:1.Participants are required to pay an application fee of 120 Euros or its equivalent in RMB ( RMB 1,080.00 ) .Proof of payment must be sent together with other documents and videos. The fee is non-refundable.
2. The entry fee in China is to be paid in the equivalent of 120 Euros in RMB to the bank account of the Organizing Committee of the Competition, with the words "his/her name and the fee for participation in the Khachaturian International Competition 2023" in the notes section of the payment. You can also apply for participation and pay the fee by searching for "Khachaturian International Music Competition" in the WeChat app.

3) One high-resolution art photograph (minimum size 2Mb, JPEG format) to be used in the promotional materials of the competition;
