Korean Media Spotlight the 2026 Khachaturian International Youth Competition Korea Preliminary

Korean media outlets including Classic Biz and Daily Hankook have recently reported on the Korea preliminary round of the 2026 Khachaturian International Youth Competition.

According to Korean media reports, M Management in Korea will serve as the exclusive co-organizer of the Korea preliminary round for the 2nd Khachaturian International Youth Music Competition in 2026. Built on the professional framework of the Khachaturian International Competition, a member of the World Federation of International Music Competitions (WFIMC), the preliminary round aims to provide young Korean musicians with an official pathway to the international stage.

The Korea preliminary round is scheduled to take place from August 12 to 14 at SCC Hall in Seocho-gu, Seoul. It will include piano, violin, viola, cello and chamber music. The application deadline is July 31. Selected contestants will travel to Beijing, China in October to take part in the global finals alongside outstanding young musicians from around the world.

The reports also noted that the competition offers substantial prizes, access to rare instruments, recording opportunities and international performance promotion. Beyond competition results, the event seeks to provide a more complete international development pathway for young artists. The Korean organizer also plans to launch the M International Music Festival in 2027, further extending the platform for artistic education and international exchange.
