2026 Khachaturian Elite Training Program Opens Global Recruitment
The 2026 Khachaturian Elite Training Program has officially opened recruitment, offering young musicians a high-level platform that connects training, stage practice, and international artistic collaboration.
The Khachaturian International Competition is a member of the World Federation of International Music Competitions and was founded in honor of Aram Khachaturian, one of the great composers of the 20th century. In 2026, the competition and music week will enter a new phase with broader international visibility and upgraded programming.
The program continues the principle that the stage itself is a classroom. Young participants will have the opportunity to work with conductor Sergey Smbatyan and the Armenian State Symphony Orchestra, gaining experience with world-class artistic forces in a professional performance environment.
Following the success of previous editions, the 2026 program will select 24 elite participants from around the world. It will present three dedicated training concerts, allowing young artists to move from intensive preparation to public performance and to demonstrate their growth on stage.
The program is open to instrumentalists and vocalists with solid musical foundations, performance ability, and strong artistic passion. It welcomes performers from strings, winds, piano, voice, and related disciplines.
Through music, the program aims to deepen cultural exchange between China and Armenia and to build a practical platform for young artists who hope to connect their training with future international opportunities.
